Hi, I'm new hear.Sorry about the spilling.

I have Idiopathic Scoliosis and had the harrington rods put into my back.
but what I'm going to ask about isn't about me.

I meet this wonderful girl about six mouths ago, she has Avascular Necrosis in the legs.So, we where talking to each other.She told me that she belives she worthless and is only good for sex.As this is what her loveing father says and has brainwashed her ino thanking it.This made very mad and now I worry about she may hurt hersalf. I told her, shes not worthless. But, you keep beliveing that and you will be.I also told her she can do anything you put your mind to. I would have said somethange about it to her father.But, I was in a house of god.I don't won't to be one more person that has turn there back on her.I belive, that god doesn't put people onto this plant to be worthless.

What should I do anythange about it.

Is there any good books that i could give her?

i suggest you refer her to a psychologist (social worker) usually that type of thinking can be the result of underlying abuse or neglect. if she is creating a direct danger (making threats to hurt herself) you have the right to do a legal intervention by calling 911 and calling for an ambulance transport for emergency psychological services.

Good for you, I think she will need all the friendship you can give, and help tp build up her own self esteem. Is there not anyone who is perhaps older than you that can talk to her father, feel that may be you aremm to young, and he would not accept it from you. maybe somebody else in the church. You do not say if there is a mother, if so may be a talk with her would help. If not do try a social worker, if you do not know who her worker is maybe you have somebody that you can talk to. It is not a situation that should continue. She must also ask for help herself, you did not say how old.
Reading materrial would be anything that would help to be more ascertive and improve her self worth and confidence.

Shes 23, I'm 26.

I tried to get her to understand.That, I cant have sex due to my own heath.So it wasn't a big deal to not have sex.But she won't understand. But what got, my blood really boiling was that her father says stuff like that to her.She also told me that, she has to work for her father.She didn't even know about SSI & SSA. She doesn't have a way to the outside, like a phone, laptop, anything.

It sounds to me like she is potentially in an abusive situation with her father. Local social services should be alerted as to what you know. Absolutely sticking around and showing her that her company and conversation should/are the most important elements to a good time.
