I am knew here, i have been a para t11/t12 for almost 21 yrs and have broken my leg s 4 times over the years due to osteoporosis.

This is the first time the dr put a cast on me. After the cast had been on for 1 month i returned to dr for check up. He removed cast and did xrays then said leg is still broken so he was going to recast me and i objected because it is sooo hard to have a cast and a little sore was developing on my heel. So he sent me to get a brace instead.

Well my problem is i discoversd that my leg is stuck in straight posistion. Has anyone ever had to deal with this? What can i do?

Please reply with anything that may help my situation. :)

Admin Note: I have changed the case.

Sue,

The only thing you can do is to get back to your doctor and explain your problem to him and ask his advice. It isn't really anything that can be done over the Internet..

[Oh, and all capitals is seen as shouting so could you, please, use lower case next post? Thanks a lot!]

Well, I was hoping someone out here had some advice for how to stretch it out. I will go back to my DR in about a month. (and whenever I call and leave a message my calls are not returned) but over the years I have relized I usually get better advise by people who actually have experienced whatever I want advice for rather than to depend on a doctor who is not paralyzed and has not personally gone through what I go through. I'm really not looking forward to going back to physical therapy. Last time I had to go after I broke my leg 9 yrs ago, the therapist burned me on my knees 3rd degree burns that are permanant scars and I have a hard time trusting their ability to help me. So if anyone here has any stretching advise for me please respond.

Suesue,
I have MS and also broke my leg, the knee in 3 places. I was first tied to the bed - traction for 6 weeks. They then put me in a green ziped type of plaster that came off at night. It was light-weight
so if it not to late for you and your broken leg, push for on of them.
good luck
