Hey all
wats there for quadriplegics??
Is there any game for them??
There are athletic sports for quads but most are won by incompletes with trunk function... not very fair but hard to stop.
Sailing is probably the best as the "Skud 18" Class (designed here in Melbourne Australia) is the fastest and most challenging yachting class but requirs one Quad Level One, like you and a high para or amp with one of them being female too. Means that female quads have great oportunities to be skipper of a racing yacht doing 14 knots or about 14 mph or 22 kph - which is faster than the two other classes. However, as long as there is a high level disability and a femal on the team, you should qualify.
I'm involved with the governing body of sailing (and I used to compete internationally, assisted with the Skud design, and am a complete C6 too) - IFDS
International Association of Disabled Sailing who run the Paralympic and Worlds Championships in Sailing.
If you are interested in trying sailing, contact your countries Sailability Club or organisation.
