Hello,
I'm a silent member of the site for quite a while, but i have never dared to write. I want to thank you all here for the informations you post, it helped me and i'm sure many others, to learn better about what SCI is, however i'm at a time when i would so need your advice, if annyone is/was in the place where i am now...
I don't even know from where to start, maybe with the begining...3 years ago i've met a wonderful man on an online chat service...he's disabled C6, however that is not the problem. What it is a problem is that we live in way separate parts of the world. He's from USA, i am from Europe(yes a former comunist country)
For the past 2 years we have a wonderful relationship(virtual) but still great, and we plan to start working on us getting together, this could happen in USA since is very hard for him to travel here.
Yes we love eachother deeply...i love him like i never thought i can love....there are times when my heart breaks of how much i love him, when the nights seem so long and cold ...when holidays are so gray even if we "spend" some time together on messenger....
I'm only complaining about distance...in rest he's just wonderful, a man like i never thought it could exist.
Now we try to work on the papers for a fiancee visa for me, but we get all kinds of confusing info from gov websites....and my biggest fear is that they will deny me, saying i don't want to marry him out of love but out of who knows what intrest....and i swear, the only reason i want to go there is because he's there, and here in my country he sure wouldn't get a job as he has there, we'll hardly addapt a house to his needs....
Please, if anyone can stop my tears, with an advice, with a note saying hey, we'v been there and we made it...I don't know how to see tomorrow without him and just the thought that others can decide our future depreses me. In a world when we keep growing colder and meaner, it seems that love and true feelings start to count less...and others decide which path your life will take.

Thank you for taking the time to read, and i hope i haven't disturbed anyone...

Hi,
Several friends of mine have married women from former soviet countries and brought them to the US so it must not be terribly complicated.

Here is a website that may be of some help to you:

http://www.fianceevi...ancee-visa.html
good luck :-)
