Healthy Food For Healthy Skin?

Can awnyone here give some insight as to what the best foods to eat for maintaining healthy skin?

The only spots I have are my tailbone and one back pelvic bone. The areas stay red and irritated but are not open...and I don't want to let them get that way.

I'm using the standard sling back on my chair and was also wondering how beneficial a gel back would be.

I've read that the skin is reflective of whats going on inside. The liver is a main filter for the body, and if that's healthy, then it helps the skin stay healthy. Lemon I hear is good for the body and helps keep the liver and blood clean. maybe drink more fresh lemonade.

Drink plenty of water. I take a zinc supplement tablet every day, which is good for healthy hair, skin and nails and is also supposed to help wound healing. Vitamin C also.

Really just make sure you have a balanced diet with all the usual vitamins and minerals.

It does sound like something is causing the red marks though - so maybe you should look at your sitting/lying position and take care when transferring.

Along with Deej, I agree plenty of good quality water. Also, probably it's more important what you DON"T put in your body - reduce sugars and animal fats.
Expectations of a 'magic' food lead to obsession and disappointment. Balanced healthy diets win IMHO.

you need to up your protein for skin growth - chicken, fish, spinach, nuts and seeds. Quinoa is a rice alternative packed with protein - add stock to flavour. Cheese is NOT that high in protein.

I currently have the same problem and have been told to rest up completely for a few days and slowly start getting up for 10 minutes at a time and then checking myself and build it up. It's been hard to go back to bed because I'm too busy, but with broadband it's amazing what you can do from bed - I'm rewiring 3 houses and today I built a wall and installed a fire alarm system!

It's a few days now or a few weeks / months if the skin breaks - no brainer really! Good luck X

I take omega 3 fish oil and falxseed oil vitamins. Lots and lots of water.
