:(

I'm a C 4/5 quadriplegic of 40 years. For the past ten months or so I've gotten a "pulling sensation" which either wakes me up or bothers me upon awaking.

It starts in the head, eases up, leaves me with a headache, and then maybe abdominal pain. Usually it eases when gas is passed. The sensation feels just like A.D. (Autonomic Dysreflexia). My BD (blood pressure) usually remains normal (the systolic rate might rise by 20). It is hard to distinquish between A.D. and the pulling sensation; when to become alarmed and wake someone to take my BD. My rehab and G.I. doctors aren't able to give me a reason, other than spasms in my intestinal tract. I'm taking extra muscle relaxants, but to no avail.

I also have stenosis (narrowing) of my rectum due to a hemorrhroidectomy and a resulting rectal mucusol prolapse. The pulling sensation started prior to the hemorrhroids so there is probably no coorelation. I see two surgeons this month and a possible colostomy is likely. It would be a relief if that would also rid me of the pulling sensation.

Is there anyone out there with this same sensation???
