Ok here it is I had my local hoby shop modify a RC monster truck for me to drive with 1 palm (being I cant use a pistol grip remote.) I had them order a stick remote and set it up for 1 stick does forward-reverse-left-right and let me tell you its a riot. The truck has so many after market upgrades available you can customize it any way you want. It is pricey but well worth it
if you want more info PM me

Sounds like fun! A year ago I tried with my exboyfriend's RC car that had a stick remote. As I can move both arms, but don't have finger and proper wrist use, we made the sticks 'fatter' with tape and stuff, and I just got the sticks stuck between my fingers and tried. It worked quite well. I just needed him to hold my shoulders so I didn't fall forwards.
I have been considering getting one, but just haven't done it yet!
This 1 stick idea sounds really good!

I have a Traxxas T-maxx with a picco .26 engine in it. It's fast as hell and although I use a normal trigger controller for it I have made a stick control for my tetraplegic friend and he uses that with it. Much the same as yours by the sound of it, with one stick doing everything.
Only thing is he can't use the reverse but it's no biggy.
