I buy things from Sportaid all the time. They are great to deal with when ordering and the orders always ship right away.

Hey Kev-O are you looking for WHEELCHAIRS or PARTS or ACCESSORIES? Cuz everyone on the net wants to sell an entire chair. I've been wanting to find (hey I'm a chick) cute stuff myself. I haven't had the greatest of luck. If you are looking for gloves or some other things like that.......think bike shops. We use same size tubing for our frames and often similar wheel size.........only it's cheaper cuz it doesn't have that "medical use" name and price tag on it.

*Wheelchairs are made of a special ocular magnetic alloy......they're "eyeball magnets".*

Just a thought about gloves...I found the best gloves in the gardening section at Menard's (one of those home center/lumber yards for those of you who may not be familiar). They are leather with suede palms, snap wrist closure, fingers cut off and they were only $5.99 when I bought mine. The manufacturer probably makes the same gloves for "medical" use and retails them for fifteen or twenty bucks!

...and wheeliebear75...my wheelchair is purple and I am just all about the rhinestones! Now let me see..... :)

Actually!!

I used to have a multi couloured frame.... It was fab!!!

my "all terrain" chair has a "brown to green" effect reflective effect....

it was just for a change as my every day chair has a polished frame as it is oh so practical lol

Ohhhhhhhh I am just looking at getting my spoke guards sprayed as the plastic scuffed look is horrid!

So if anyone knows someone out there who can coat/spray spoke guards??

cheeeeeeeeeeeeeers!!

Here's what you really want: Spoke Guard Art :)

Their motto actually says "Roll with Style"! :mfrlol:

You could always just get some wheels without spokes like the ones at Lasher Sports. Bling, Bling!

Ok Ok I may be going on and on here!!

But!!!!

Front Pack Travel Bag
This travel bag has been designed to be worn on your front so as not to upset the balance of your wheelchair. The shoulder straps are fully adjustable and there is an adjustable waist strap should it be required. The bag has two internal sections, the larger rear section has a detachable carry pack, an organiser section and an internal pocket. The easily accessible front section opens with full length zip.

So how on earth do you use this?

1. You can't do anything in front of you!

2. You open it and everything falls out!

3. You open it and can't actually see in it!!! Durrrrr

I'll let the rest of you add to the list....

OR

Tell me just how wrong I am and just how useless ooops useful this really is!!

Might not want to have those spoke guards on at a rave...just imagine the tripping kiddies chasing after you as you roll around!

*edit*
Most of the things I plan on modifying my chair with (and have used in the past on cane and walker) I got from the local bicycle shop.
Cup holder (water bottle), lights for being out after dark (I'm really fond of Knog's Frog light)....

Ah ha, so this is where the Shelli Wheelchair originated... Hmm Ian. Now I know I'm not Kev-O and you didnt ask what I thought. I am however a genuis, if you saw my lastest post about C5's you would see that for yourself.
So I want to tell you what I think. Im proud you're thinking outside the box and trying to make things to improve our qualities of live. On your page you mentioned a bad leg, maybe I didnt understand, but a one lame leg versus paralysis as high as the neck hardly compares.
Your chair may not make it to the homes or hospitals, but i could definitly see it being used at airports, or stations. It seems perfect enough for someone more able bodied. Someone that needs a quick lift, would be ideal. Even the foot rack on bottom could help transport luggage. Plus no breakdown needed. Almost like the huge luggage carts they rent out at airports.
So thats what I thought. I think its genius, as usual. Im happy to get you rich, I just ask that you dont forget me!
