Every year I try to attend the Abilities Expo in California. Not for me so much, but for my kids. You see they see families like ours and they feel accepted. It's a place where they can be themselves. I'm a single parent in a chair so being themselves is talking to other children in the same situation.

Was wondering who out there goes to these events for the same reason?

I just checked out the Abilities Expo online and I see that the closest event to my area is in Minnesota. I would definitely go if there was a show closer. It looks like it would be great.

I'm sure that there are so many products that would make our lives easier as well as more enjoyable if only they weren't so cost prohibitive. You probably see things at these events that you hadn't imagined don't you?
