I was looking at lawnmowers today as I was leaving my local hardware supply. Your transfer is pretty cool! I was thinking one of he hand controls would have to be removed. Thanks for posting the link to the video.
Boat racing accident July 2006. Still hoping for some return!

I bought an old Toro lawn tractor style mower for $350. I chopped up a set of old hand controls and bolted them on. The mower paid for itself after mowing the lawn 6 times. It's cool to finally see another gimp on a lawn mower.

I have been looking for a John Deere 400 for years now. They are hydrostatic drive. The only thing that is foot opperated is the brake and you dont really need it. The more you push the handle forward the faster it goes. Pull back and it comes to a stop, back and right and your in reverse. Not to mention the John Deere is very versitle, you can get a mower, snowblower, plow, tiller, or rear drag for it. Hope this info is helpful.

My husband(Quad) has a lawn mowing business- He has a great set up- Voc Rehab had a truck and trailer adapted for him. They used bruno lifts and it is really simple to use. I'll see if I can get some pics posted to you. He mows all summer long and loves it!

I've got a Murray Lawn Tractor, only draw back is its a manual with a foot clutch so I just get it in the gear I want for cutting or driving and then use stick or push down on my knee when I need to stop.

meadowlarkmark,
I use this Kawasaki Mule 550 to pull a Swisher pull behind mower deck to mow my grass. It works great, plus when I'm done mowing I can unhook the pull behind and head back to the woods for some recreational riding.
