I am brand new to the site. Just an hour old. I am a t3 para in severe burning pain for many years.
I take 240 - 10 mg oxyxontin every month on top of 100 microgram morphine patches. I cannot stand the pain anymore. I am still working an love my job but cannot continue much longer due to the burning pain. Does anyone have any advice. My doctor says the only thing left is a nerve block. This is a very serious decision I'm about to make. I'd appreciate any advice.
Nothing I do helps.
Thanks
Mike

if my lower back vertebrae twist or compress a bit, I get a dull burning sensation and more muscle spasms there. I see the chiropractor for traction. I'm sure yours is much worse than this, but a slow traction to relieve pressure feels good anyway.

I hope you find a solution that works for you. Don't give up searching....

If ya wanna care less about the pain comin and going...smoke pot... I dont find it to help the pain alot...just being able to deal with it. Like you , I could probably get any script I wanted(& my doc's have pushed quite a few on me without regard to their side effects) doctors feel like there is a pill cure for everything so if they see it's not working they'll just advise you to either take more or find something stronger. I listened to them for a while & lived in a daze, hell on more than one occasion the med's I was prescribed were in such a concentration I could have been in real danger...not from overdose but from their effects.
After a particularly nasty episode I decided to rebuke all pills. The pain was worst for the first month or so (while the med's slowly filtered out) but balanced out after a while. Granted, the pain is still nasty and it often has me twitchin and squirmin but I do so with a somewhat clear mind (minus the pot) and am alot happier.
good luck.... and if ya manna know more... Holla!

Exactly how I felt, the only RX I have now is for heartburn. I tried so many different Dr. prescribed pills that I felt like I could open my own pharmacy. Neurotin didn't do anything for me either. It wasn't possible to work or do much with people while always doped up, the only thing strong enough left me drooling and unfunctional. Weed never did that to me.
