anyone will tell you gravity is the main thing in evacuating, try moving around when sitting on the pot (im not sure what your limitations are so you may not be able to but thats all you can do besides getting one of those squishy toilet seats.)wierd you can feel the process but if you cant push then you gotta pull it out basically and digital stimulation comes into play.do it every 15 minutes or so is about all id say, they have lubricants that have a numbing gel in it to give some ease but not sure they would be good but dont see why not.I feel you on the bathroom stuff.......seems to control my life so good luck to you.Dont understand how people go every other day or longer before emptying thier stomach

Searching for the magic bullet is probably only part of a solution. For long-term understanding and management, it is equally important to take care of what you are putting into your body in the way of food. How’s your diet and how much do you know about healthy diets? Also, exercise comes into it. How active are you, etc?

Sorry if these comments seem a little ordinary to you but I’m convinced that long-term solutions don’t come solely with the right pill or other magic. They come from a healthy lifestyle plus discovering what works best for you – which takes time and just when you get it right it changes again.

wild shot in the dark. 4 suppositories sounds outrageous. are you giving one time to kick in? if you're laying down, are you laying on your right side or left? I'm guessing you'd know if there was enough in there to come out. are you pushing the supp to the side of the stool or just barely in?

[size=5]It's important to have a scheduled bowl program so your bowls can adjust to going at a certain time each day. I've gotten my bm's down to 3 times a week (mon, wed, fri, same time each day) wich allows me more free time, especialy on weekends.

Back when i was doing my bowl program more often I had plenty of times when i wouldn't go at all. Now the bm free days ensure that there's enough bulk in me for the days when i do go. I still feal the urge to go sometimes on the off days but i just ignore it and i haven't had any accidents.

I also try to lay off cheese (wich i love) except on the weekend, the extra bm free day provides more bulk for me to still go on monday.

Right now i have a concoction i make of fruit blended with bran cereal wich makes a paste. I add a couple tablespoons of that to a cup of prune juice. I take that the night before bm along with a stool softener. On bm morning i use a suppository with stimulant (I tried using the plain glycerine kind but they didn't work) wich i leave in for 15 min. Then i sit up on a comode over the toilet till i feal like i'm done.

God Bless!

P.S. Another thing that helps me go is the way i push on my stomach. Because of the way the intestines are shaped i press up on my right, across the upper stomach (right to left) and then down the left side.

it sounds like you're waiting so long between bm, that you're building up so much stool it takes that long to come out. I would see about going more often. i don't see why that would cause you to have an accident. Maybe too much suppository? maybe it's going too high? I know when inserting the supp, if I stay lying down for more than a minute, the supp goes too high, and I'll have to sit on the toilet for another hour on top of my norm 20 min because it drains out sludge that is probably not ready to come out yet.

I don't know what meds you take but if your on anti biotics or taking pain meds, you need to take acidopholus to restore the good bacteria in your intestines. A lot of folks want you to drink incredible amounts of water. There is such a thing as water toxosis. Instead, I suggest you take miri-lax or glyco-lax to get moisture to your colon. Gravity really can help if you could sit on a bed pan or a bedside commode. Don't be afraid to mention it to your doctor. Please eat some greens and fruit. Try to do your BP at a regular time even if you only do it every three days it can help to do it at the same time. Don't take narcotic pain meds before your BP as they virtually paralyze your intestinal tract.
The miri-lax doesn't cause cramps and can be used with a magic bullet.
Hope that is some help?
john S.
P.S. If your mom is helping you she deserves a lot of love.

not to mention using 4 magic bullets per bowel program day is very dangerous. It says right on the box no more than one a day.

like hockeydahc said, trying doing your program more frequently. maybe every othe day? maybe you've just got to much poop in you after waiting 3 days.

how often did you have a bowel movement pre-sci? take that into consideration, as well as your diet. Are you getting enough fibre? Are you staying hydrated?
