I have a small research here for those having SCI,about taking medicines like these:

DRUG ALERT!

Caution should be excercised for persons with Spinal Cord Injuries who are taking
Tricylic anti depressants because of Autonomic Dysfunction.SCI persons are more vulnerable to Anticholinergic side effects and Orthostatic Hypotension. There are also numerous potential drug reactions associated with Monoamine Oxidise (MAO)
inhibitors and SCI.

[LIPPINCOTT 1993 Edition,Nursing Manual Practice]

*Anticholinergic
inhibiting the action of Acetycholine and Parasypatholytic drugs are anticholinergic drugs.

*Monoamine Oxidase
an enzyme that catalyzes the oxidation of a large variety of monoamines, including:
epinephrine
norepinephrine
serotinine.

Monoamine Oxidase is found in most tissues, particularly the liver and nervous system.Drugs are act as inhibitors of this enzyme are widely used in the treatment of depression.
