Hey everyone,

I'm new here and just found the site. Just wanted to tell you guys that I went all the way to China for stem cells and I him paralyzed from the neck down except BARELY my left bicep , lol. I just got back in July and unfortunately have no new movement yet. Although my bicep does feel stronger. the doctors told me to wait six months though. Everyone is crazy there, and I can't believe I survived the whole trip. I have a blog you guys can read if you want to know more about it. I'm a complete C4 with massive soaring from 4 to 7 but I think incompletes have been having better results.

Let me know if you want any information about it. I will let you know if I get any movement back. Even if I don't it was worth the trip to try, if this is God's plan then I'm fine with that... if you put it in perspective is really not that bad being paralyzed. There is always someone way worse off than you, and if you went to China you would realize that. Be thankful for food, clean water, shelter, health care, and technology (especially me since I use a voice activated program on my computer called Dragon NaturallySpeaking). I bet over 15% of the world would trade places with you in a second.

Anyway, here are the links to my blog, my myspace page, and my e-mail

Hi Danny,
I read your stem cell blog with interest. My daughter has spina bifida and is missing her corpus callosum. We saved cord blood from the child following her, in the hopes that progress might be made to a point where she would be helped. We don't count on anything, really. My dad also since then got diagnosed with leukemia (a slow form) and may need those stem cells someday too. I hope you get the results you want, God bless,
Wendy

I'll have a read with great interest!

I saw the ummmm Horizon .. I think it was program on this and it looked a bit .. well .. ummmm ... ummm of a con from how the program came over anyway!!

Fingers crosssed ... oh god sorry to all us quads/tetras!!/etc.... (read brainstorming post to be enlightened)

I hope it works!

I would like to see progress especially as they have been breaking rats backs for 15 odd years and don't seem to be any closer!

All the best mate!!
Life is just to short not to have fun!

I am a quad, and about 2 years ago, also contemplated stem cells, but was told by Physio therapist, not much research done yet, to see if it is successful or not. Decided against it. So I wish you the best of luck.

A couple of paras from Namibia went to Germany for theirs, and aside from it being costly, not much post 6 months has come back, in terms of improvement.

the only residue of post stem cells is disillusionment. Feel sorry for them. Would rather have faith, and keep on hoping for some of you quads injured from neck down, that there isma breakthrough with stem cells.
