Not from Ca. but do love classics. But I do feel like crying every time I go to the gas station to feed my Riviera. Unless your looking for an all original the prices at the pumps may very well help you get a good deal.... Are you looking for anything in particular?

ok I have to add my 2 cents here.... My name IS Corvette, on my original Birth certificate.

So this lil Chevy HAD to say hi... I no longer have a (it never really was mine, I didnt have the pink, uncle did) vette, lil miss lead foot got pulled over enough times, and the cop in question each time, looking at my DL and the car, the Dl, my car.. and trying like hell not to laugh their ass off.. calling in for backup (well I cant say I know they did that but really how many cars need to arrive at a speeding infraction?) The most was 5 cop cars.... all had to see the lil blonde in the corvette (powder blue) named Corvette... <sighs> Adverage is one back up car... not 5.

The ever popular question, how did you end up with the name (usually the assumption is I was conceived in one... ok EW I am a test tube baby, my parents cant have had sex I will be emotionally scarred from that mental pic-damn, too late) and the cute lil quips like can I check under you hood (this was back before you could sue for sexual harrassment... and political correctness had taken over) but I will say, I didnt get a ticket <bats baby blues and thanks the Goddess for the body to live up to the name LOL> As I suspect had I weighed as much as my car, I would have gotten a ticket, cool name or not! Don't care what they say, I think cops are biased!!! Tho I was pulled over when pregnant.. so I could be wrong (I know you would THINK I would know better but I am a lead foot driver-racing in the blood, according to family we are related to that Rusty Wallace fellow - I like Dale Jr so blah.)

My all time fav chevy however? a 57 chevy Bel Air that I sadly only drove once, it was willed to me when my grandfathers 2nd wife (whom I knew as grandma) passed away, along with a lil house in san fran... and tho it survived the earthquake, it did not survive the fires. Hell I prob could not have gotten it out of the garage without scraping the hell out of it, not sure how that woman did it, single car garage :( and that wide ass car..... may she rest in peace, she's probably driving that car in, if there is such a place, Heaven, it went to be with her.

I am now on the hunt for a 69 Cadi Hearse, if anyone gets any good leads!!!! I know, I am demented, you would be too, if you had my life lol. Central Coast of California Rules :yahoo: (ok I am biased, heh)

:: wanders off having realized its daylight, no ambien and I rambled  on... oh dear::::

Love, Light and Laughter
Lil Red Corvette aka Resident Vampyre.

Of all the words, of tongue or pen, the saddest, are these: "what might have been".

No problem. I have done nearly everything on the van myself. Stripped the van totally, engine, box, insides, bulkhead, floor etc. Replaced inner and outer sills, rear arches, made a new back panel and lower quarters etc. I was going to make the seperate chassis but was offered a good price for it to be made saving me the agro. Everything i have done has either been from my mobility scooter, my chair or throwing myself on the floor, lol.

I do it erratically, often with bits fallling off.
