Even though we believe we see and treat people as equals, hidden biases may still influence our perceptions and actions Created by psychologists at Harvard and the University of Washington, this Disability Bias Test measures our unconscious bias. Contrasting concepts of "good" and "bad" with information graphics such as pedestrian crossing signs, the test measures automatic preferences for physically disabled or able-bodied people. The test takes about five minutes, and your privacy is protected -- no identifying information is collected or distributed. After taking a test, you can also check out a tutorial to learn more about the science behind the tests, stereotypes and prejudice, and the societal effects of bias. This is a unique tool for all ages!
