Im looking for new cover for my Roho High profile cushion. Sounds easy huh? Well I looked round the net for the best price and contacted some US distributors. No go. Seems Roho will not allow them to send outside the US!!!! Huh!!!? Sounds like we are being ripped off to me....

Anyway I cant find anyone in the UK who will sell me a cover. Im not going to spend £400 squid on a new cushion... I just want a cover.

Help anyone!!??? :help: ....please!

OMG! I've been trying to get a Roho backrest for a month now, and I've been having the same problem! I thought it would be faster if I just ordered it from a medical supply store here (in Canada), and they said I would have it in a few days. Well, a week later when I called to see where it was they said they hadn't ordered it yet, then they finally said that they would and that the ONLY distrubuter in Canada had them on back order untill late OCT! I tried calling Sportaid, and they told me that they can't send any more Roho products to anyone outside the US because Roho will pull their contract if they do! She told me that it's because they can sell things a lot cheaper in the US. Don't they realize that by selling a lot of products for a bit cheaper is a lot better than having countries full of people pi$$ed off at them and ordering products from other compalnies?!

I found the EXACT backrest that Roho sells. The only difference is that instead of saying Roho on the back it says ADI. I called these people (who are also in the US), and they said that I could have the backrest in 5 to 7 buisness days. They also told me that THEY are the people who makes that particular backrest and that Roho is the exclusive distributer of it! They also didn't seem to have any idea what Roho was doing with the whole not shipping to the US! It seems that Roho is selling ADI's backrest and didn't even let them know that they refused to ship it out of the US! So, I decided to not even deal with Roho, and go right to the source of where the backrest is made and get it from them.

I live in Canada too. Sometimes the price we pay and the US price is very different. I live close to the border so I have things shipped to a friend and pick them up there, Just got a new Roho for $151. I think we are getting ripped off.

They wanted $1100 plus tax for a Jetstream Pro backrest here in Canada! They also wanted to sell me a demo backrest for almost $900 (the lowest price they would go) when they couldn't get a new one until at least the end of Oct.

I'm getting one from the US from ADI (who makes them, and lets Roho distribute them as the "Jetstream Pro") for $387 with tax and everything included! :help: It's crazy how there can be THAT much of a difference in the prices for the SAME product!

Sorry to join in here not really on cushions, but what you are saying about prices is just what I think. I cam looking for new wheels and I can pay more or less just the same price here as buying from Sportaid - oh, forgot, you have to change the currency symbol!

That means that we are paying twice the price that the US is paying. Is this criminal!

Hey there,

I think that the OP's point was that here in the UK we have to rely on one or two distributers which are extortionate. Other than that, the US ( etc) companies et al, are reluctant to ship outside the US, or at least not to Europe. As one other poster pointed out, this may be because Rho have warned Sportaid et al that their contract will be revoked if they do....

Take care,
