For the last 6 months Ive had quite a few bladder issues. It started at about 6/7 months pregnant when I got major stress incontinence. Despite orders from my urologist I was not cathed until late in labour, and for several weeks afterwards had major problems just finding my bladder! ( I use ISC on a day to day basis) Ive also had a long standing asymptomatic UTI which I decided to live with as Ive had more antibiotics over the last year than in 10 years previously!

So anyway Im still suffering stress incontinence quite badly and even though on the one hand I cant go, and cant tell if I need to go, I also feel like Im about to explode even though my bladder is almost empty. Im not comfortable at all. Ive also had related bowel incontinence as well.

I was hoping things would settle after I gave birth but it doesnt seem to have. Im seeing my urologist on 10th October. At the moment I dont know what I should say or be expecting. Is there anything I could be asking for to improve my comfort? If you know what I mean, Im not sure what I should be asking in order to get the right answers? Although she isnt keen to give long term antibiotics I will no doubt come away with some. What can I do long term? Ive had non stop and endless UTIs and Im very careful about hygiene. ( I was very prone to cystitis as a teenager).

Any help or advice gratefully recieved as Im not my perky self. :(

cheers
L

Do you take any bladder related meds? Detrol, ditropan? Cranberry suppliments?
