My name is Brittany. I am a social worker for a visiting nurse agency. I have a patient who is paraplegic from Hurricane Katrina. He is living in his dad's living room and the space is cramped. Looking for a program to assist with the cost of modifying the home or purchasing a small trailer for patient to live independently next door to father. Has anyone heard of a program or used one themselves? Thank you for you help.

no I haven't, My G/F youngest daughter wanted use to move in with her and her hubby, so the could get their place remodeled. I think G/F about bit her head off on that. my trailer happened to be opened up enough to allow my chair. we did take the bed room door off that way I could fit through. I can stagger around like a drunk now so we have put the door back up. I had the ramp put in during the first week of being out(before the lamenectomy). then the riser for toilet, shower chair, grab bars. the only diffaculty I have is the carpet but thats due to the thick padding.
