For a moment yesterday I felt for you guys . . . :lmao:
Just a moment mind you, but a moment none-the-less.

Perhaps the greatest single day of shock defeats in the history of a world cup sports event.

The Kiwi's in particular must be wondering what rugby gods they have crossed.
The last four world cups they have been out-and-out favourites, and they've choked in every one.
Maybe they can swing things their way in 2011 when its held in NZ.
Make all the opposition sleep on concrete floors like they made the Boks do in 1981. B)

To the Poms and the French . . . well done.
You played rubbish, but showed nerves of steel.
The forthcoming two weeks will be interesting indeed.

Rain was falling when I awoke this morning. So the gods, at least, realise their mistake but crying only makes it harder to clear the national throat. Cough cough.

One day, one game. Forgotten (not really). We’re so excited to get back to our rightful place with another four years as world number one BETWEEN World Cups.

2011 in NZ is gong to be huge. Be afraid, be very afraid.

My pick for the final - a blood bath between South Africa and France but all my predictions to date have been wrong.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!! :lmao:

Sorry just had to do that. Its been soooooo exciting hasnt it? I picked France to get to the final at the start despite the dreadful game against Argentina. Home advantage.

let face it who thought England would get this far, in all fairness thay havent really played very well. I really cant believe NZ wont be this years winners, they have just looked so strong havent they.

Ive loved the whole World Cup from start to finish and lets face it if NZ dont win next time, the whole country will be a laughing stock.

Go the bokke!

I was scared for a minute or 2 there in the Fiji match but phew! WE normally lose our nerve in big matches and throw it all away

Sorry ot those Aussies and New-Zealanders! This is one of the times I am a proud South African!

After the debacle of 1981 the New Zealanders should not be allowed to hold any sports tournaments on home turf !! . . . :(

I see you axed the coach within 24 hours.

The excuse this time was the forward pass. In 1995 it was food poisoning. What were the excuses in 1991, 1999 and 2003 again?

P.S. . . . Don't rule out the possibility of a Pom -vs- Argie final! The Falklands War all over again!!

Nobody yet has been axed. Where do you get your misinformation from?
Henry is likely to go but he has never committed himself beyond this World Cup, anyway.
As for excuses, a few are whingeing this and that but the overwhelming opinion here is we played below our best and France played better. Many of us are learning to take these defeats. It's not as though we're not getting enough practice.
I'm disappointed but I'm not going to lose any sleep - in fact, I'm getting more sleep cos I didn't stay up for last night's games.
I agree anything can happen in the final. Fiji did ok, didn't they.

If my memory serves me correctly Henry coached Wales before he took the NZ job. I think he realised they were losers back then (they have been since the hey-days of '74).

P.S. . . . The announcement of his NZ departure was made on our national television, the sports channels, and BBC.

Henry had remarkable success with the Welsh team. Go check the record books. And Wales, like the Irish, will be back.

re PS, they were wrong. But it will come to pass. Robbie Deans will likely get the job - he was an assistant coach in the previous cup loss.
