Since March 12, 2009. I was 5 months pregnant at the time with my 6th baby. They think I got an infection in my spinal cord. Life is different but still very, very sweet.

On december 11th it was 6 years, and have to say it's been a rollercoaster and now finally i'm enjoying the ride! Take it from my quote... I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past, so one way to get most out of life is to live it as an adventure!

Hi, couldn't see a thread for intro's so this seems the best place for a first post.
Happened to me 12 years ago(18/05/98). Had something called an AVM (arterial venal malformation). That left me with sci at level T2. I guess it's incomplete, can feel being touched, sorta, no pain tho' if I bang into something etc. No movement except for the big toe on my right foot (It's only me who sees it tho' and if I'm honest it's only about 2mm. LOL)

I feel I'm used to life in the chair now, tho' not a day goes by when I don't think of life before.

Live just north of Glasgow, married, one daughter, she's 12 so only knows me as I am now and not .

So a big hello to you all.

Stephen.

For me it'll be 10 years this year. I was on my way to work on my 5 day old ZX6R when a car driven by a 76 year old twat pulled out in front of me and I hit it. He didn't see me :head_brick_wall-1:

Uncanny, I was on and then obviously off a ZX6R as well, only I was assisted by mother nature in the form of high winds rather than a tin box, my stupid fault going too slow! 25mph

Don't worry it's probably not a problem unless it's green! I think they are pretty rare though, mine for example was determined to camouflage itself inside a hedge with a 20 foot (downhill) embankment behind it!

He He! Good one :specool: Guys, mine was a blue and yellow grey import. I loved it. Colin I was only doing 30mph to but I ended up with a SCI, broken mangled right arm, broken shoulders, broken ribs, fractured skull which left me deaf in my left ear. And they cut my leathers off!!!!!!!

I thought I had already posted here but it seems not.

I was injured 9th May 2009 so it's been less than 2 years, seems longer really , not sure if that's good or bad. Maybe I'm just getting used to it or not having to struggle too much day to day.

Anyway I certainly know an awful lot more about all that SCI means than I ever thought I would!
