Different design this one, but I'm not sure where your cusion would go, so there may be pressure issues.

New RGK ATP Knee Seat

RGK are launching a new innovation for sports wheelchairs - the ATP Knee Seat.

It is a revolution in sports wheelchair positioning and provides maximum sitting stability, propulsion power, acceleration, reach and manoeuvrability.

ATP stands for Arm Trunk Power - ATP propulsion is much more effective than Arm Power propulsion only. The result of ATP is more propulsion power and a greater acceleration.

The RGK ATP Knee Seat will be available in two designs:

- Maximum mobility ATP
- Para ATP - for those with spinal cord injury or reduced trunk balance.

ditto, Kev

Wouldn't some of us just crush our legs by sitting (kneeling) on them like that? solve that, and I'd find a way to get in, because they just look Fantastic.

I’m asking the same thing here. I would be lying on my face if trying to get in there. Hope it comes with instructional video on how get in.

I was thinking that iy would require assistance, but so do many "racing" chairs. Wow what are those front casters.........like 1inch? If you were only in that chair for a couple hrs while you play a game I'm sure pressure sores could be avoided but I wouldn't want to be in it for any length of time.

*I USE a wheelchair, that does NOT make ME a wheelchair!*

It's not exactly a new position though (as rgk themselves point out in their blurb) kneeling positions have been quite common on racing wheelchairs and handbikes for many years, the only new thing is that it's for an indoor sports chair.

I do like the concept though of actually spreading the weight between knees and bum rather than just simply kneeling. Not much use to those of us with high level injuries but if you have trunk control is silly not to use it :-(
