Hi Susi.
Pop into blogspot.com (or some other blog site) and follow the reasonably easy instructions.
It's not risky as long as you use a dispensable email address. Set up a new email address at sites such as hotmail, yahoo or gmail and use only that address for your blog. If you ever have trouble just ditch the address and set up a new one.
