A bit about myself. I'm 37. I've been a T4/5 complete for the past 29 years. I'm a single mom to a wonderful 10 year old girl. I got an iBOT just last month. I'm keeping a blog about it here: www.wheelchairrevolution.blogspot.com.

Hi all. I am a long time member of CareCure (I'm Shannon there) and I've decided to give Apparelyzed a try.

Hi Shannon
A big welcome. although Im an occasional visitor to CareCure, I find it rather adversarial in its atmosphere. Im not sure I like Sci nurses hovering about telling us what we should and shouldnt be doing. Sometimes its useful but to me I find it a bit patronising as well. Anyway I hope you come to be a regular member becasue I think we are all very nice here.
I was looking at your blog last week by the way, the ibot is one great piece of equipment by the looks of it.
Cheers

Thanks everyone!
L, I know what you mean about the nurses. I think they tend to go a bit overboard.
The iBOT is really great! I'm not a good writer, but hopefully some find my blog to be interestering/helpful.

Welcome Shannon -
I'm new to the site as well (and this is my first time at participating in a SCI forum) and have found the environment here very helpful and friendly. I'm T12 complete, almost 60 yo, 31 years post injury. Was a single mom for 8 years but now married and last of 4 chicks left the nest last fall. Will check out your iBOT blog! Very exciting!

Elzeen, did you give birth to all four of your children? I can't quite imagine doing it more than once!

Yes, the no pain aspect of it is great!
My pregnancy was difficult, but I do not know how much of that had to do with my SCI. I was a very sick dog through-out the entire pregnancy, but lots of ABs have that same problem. At any rate, my husband at the time got snipped shortly after our daughter was born as we didn't want to go through it again!

Welcome!
I had 4 children as well(3grl 1by).
All of mine were post injury and all by C-section (they tried natural with the 1st one but then never again........low back couldn't take it). Pregnancy ended me up in bed for the majority of the last 1/2 of the pregnancy (my lumbar isn't too keen on being bent to accommodate a growing uterus LOL); glad other SCI ladies have had better luck.
I've only recently even heard about "CareCure". Yeah that IBOT does look cool.
