I keep getting a red spot in the same place.
New Roho didn't help.

I was told to find the cell causing it & tie it off with a rubberband.
Has anyone done this? Did it help?
How did you find the cell?

Thanks

My mom's been using ROHO's for years, and in the past she has tied off one or two of the cells with a rubber band. I think finding the correct cell is by trial and error!

hope this helps

I guess you made sure it is inflated properly? It's tricky to get right *** Also are you able to shift your weight around?

Also I would use electrical tape, or a wide tie wrap to close off the cell (as a rubber band could rub a hole n the rubber).......

I've done that before and yes it does work. But what I've done is instead of just tying one cell off, tie of two so that there is extra room for relief when moving around. To find out which cell to tie off, just sit on the Roho and put your hand beneath your butt, to where the area where your skin break down. Or have someone else to do this if you are unable to. Now count how many cells from the edge in to where you hand is and that will give you spot to which to tie the cell off.
But like I said earlier to, “Tie off two cells for extra relief”. And keep lifting your butt off the cushion as much as possible. Good luck.

LIFE IS NOT A JOURNEY TO THE GRAVE WITH THE INTENTION OF ARRIVING SAFELY IN A PRETTY AND WELL PRESERVED BODY,
BUT RATHER TO SKID IN BROADSIDE, THOROUGHLY USED UP, TOTALLY WORN OUT, AND LOUDLY PROCLAIMING----WOW----WHAT A RIDE!!!

Thanks Beachmom,
trial & error for sure, really scarey.
Thanks for letting me know it can work.

Thanks 4wheels,
We've worked for the last 6 months trying to get it right.
I got a new roho, but it seemed to be losing air.
But the dme & my workers said no.

I just got another new roho
& have sat on it 4 days & no red marks.

Don't want to be too smug.
But I'm thrilled to be up.
I know the area is tender & I think tieing off will help either way.

Great idea about using tape!

Thanks Chilipepper,
I can't use my hand, but will see if my aide can do what you said.
Probably the only way to do it really.

I can't move or shift,
but I have a reclining chair & lay back often.

Thanks y'all will definately do 2 cells.

I appreciate all your help. :)
