Here's a nice story from Dallas TX:

Dallas police said a disabled man shot and killed a person who broke into his apartment early Friday morning.

Police said the man was able to get out of his wheelchair, struggle with the invader, take his gun away and shoot him.

great to see a story that doesn't portray us as helpless and pathetic.

That is a great story i am a big believer in keeping fit and strong i used to do mma as well as body build before my accident and like to think that i would still be able to defend myself i would have no hesitation in throwing myself at some 1 to defend my family or my self i still have very strong arms. I dont think any 1 should underestimate wheelchair users :H2kOther (26):

Aw shucks, isn't it nice that your mum thinks of you as the hero type, anyway.
