Hey guys my Mother saw this on a KPBS TV program. A Japanese company came up with a new way for wheelchair users to climb stairs and some pretty cool prosthetics. Take a look and see what you think. Oh uh you have to sit through a little bit before you get to the parts I'm talking about.

Don't want to give too much away. So I'll post what I think tomorrow sometime.

The robo stair climber looks kind of scary.........but if something like that is the difference between someone having to move from an apartment that has no elevators and staying in one's own home.......I could see it being a miracle. Of course that thing being for consumer use is years away........but cool none the less.

Those limbs looked pretty cool. My dad had his right leg amputated from complications of diabetes. His prosthetic was just a nice looking fake leg...........not like these. The guy who had two legs was able to go up and down a curb and bend his bionic knee sideways........pretty cool I thought.

I know there are some here who have little to no hand control. They showed a computer being operated by thought. It had one of those huge EEG helmets to control it............but if they just made that smaller and more functional it would give people the ability to use it without needing to move.

I don't know about anyone else on here.............I have missed out on countless house warming parties and such just because a friend lives on a 2nd or 3rd story apt. and few apartments have elevators unless they're 3+ stories high. Hah make that sucker usable and we'll never miss another party again.
