When I wake in the morning, it takes 10 - 15 minutes of cramp and spasms before I can even think of getting ot of my pit.
I look like a dead rat with my hands clenched and arms, triceps and shoulders with hardly any range. Any other incompletes like this and does flipping on to your stomach work for you?

Other than in my legs, I don't have that severity of spasticity in the mornings, but a friend of mine, who is incomplete, does. Her level of injury is very high. She will also wake up with her chin/jaw pushing hard into her chest. This has caused some dental problems as well.
I don't recall that she has ever told me what she has tried to lessen the spasms, but I'll be sure and ask her when we speak again.

Hi Lucky,
How do you people do it? I'm asking and I am one of you people.
But my cramps and spasms aren't nearly that severe. Knock on wood. I curse them and they are annoying but nothing like what you describe.
I know what you mean about the "the pit" though. If it weren't for my addiction to a good cup(s) of Cafe Bustello coffee in the morning I might not ever get out of bed. Hey, maybe I'll put a small Mr. Coffee machine next to the bed and be done with it.
I never really liked sleeping on my stomach even though it's probably the best position to sleep in. I can't breathe properly and my face gets smashed into the bed (forget about a pillow!) and I ofttimes end up with a blurry eye! It can straighten out or flex your legs and that's a good thing. And it gives your butt and boney hip prominences a chance to recuperate. I just got over healing a pressure sore on my right hip and that's not fun. Actually it wasn't a pressure sore but a calloused area that I broke open with my thumbnail as I was getting outta "the pit". I'm keeping a bandage over it for protection... just in case. I don't wanna go through that again especially since it's my favored side.
Maybe the diazepam will help you in this regard. Or some other type of anti-spasmotic drug. We can hope.
I hope you find some relief Lucky or you're gonna have to tweak your name.
