Can I Do Rehab At Home

Hii

Every one ,This is my first post to this site as a new paralysis member , I am from middle east , I got spinal cord compression at C3 by some bacteria’s infection causing total paralyzes (incomplete) , it has been eleven months now since my last operation , I stare getting some improvement in hands and my left leg , the right leg has no sensation but there is some movement, I need your experience in rehabs, how to do , equipment required , I would like to do at home , In my country it is difficult to get rehabilitation center

The best thing would be to try an get into a rehab center but if you really want to do it at home i recommend you go an visit a rehab center an look an see what they have there an what everyone is doing. Talk to some of the people an find out what needs to be done. good luck

you can do it at home hire somebody pro from a hospital, but if you want rehab then DUBAI,ABU Dhabi and DOHA are the best, if you are Omani it is free for you

Thank a lot for your replay , Do you thing I can do rehab in Qatar or Dubai for free , how about accommodation could you explain in detail I will be appreciated , by the way I have problem of money , I think I will loose my job soon, but I don’t like to get help from any one , sorry only you guys can help me in how to do rehab , :)

Rehab centers are better , if only because they will force you to do your best every day. If , for some reason, this isn't possible, basic exercise of all muscle groups and range of motion can be done at home.

The key is repetition using moderate effort to start. Increase effort/resistance to gain strength. Any exercise you can do will help, but too much weight/effort/resistance, too quickly can cause injury. That is why professional help is prefered. They know what limits to push.

Speak with your doctor. He may know of an outpatient program closer to you.
