Hi everyone,

I just got back from a trip to Brasstown Valley in Young Harris Georgia. It's a mountain resort about three hours north of Atlanta. The trip was sponsored by the Shepherd Center in Atl with a partnership with Twin Lake Camp. They furnished, I think, 15 rooms for former Shepherd patients.

Because it was sponsored by the Shepherd center, they had therapists come and check out the resort to see if it indeed is accessible. The doors were wide enough for regular manual chairs (my chair cushion is 18" wide) and also for power chairs. They have ramps everywhere. The bathrooms, however, are on the smaller side. Although i didn't have problems myself, i would imagine it would be a little difficult for quads. But because there were many quads that also came to the resort I do think it was do-able.

For recreation, we had wheelchair tennis, golf, horseback riding, and fishing. Good times good times.

I'll have pictures up as soon as I get them.
