I've always loved acting but I figured, when I broke my neck, I could never go on stage again. Turns out, this is not true at all. I actually sang an outdoor musical a couple years ago. This time, I'm playing the mean guy in this really great old play and we are doing it as a radio play.

So don't give up, just do what you can.

That's pretty cool. Considering Mr Potter uses a wheelchair in the movie you could even play him on stage and radio play sounds great.
Just a regular guy making his way through life.

Good stuff, Captain Pike. Playing a mean guy must be such fun. Its got me wondering...

How about bringing back Ironside (with a real Para or Quad)!
We could do a western, instead of horses we'll chase the bad guys in our wheelchairs.

Good Work!

That's great! I'd say "break a leg" but in our case I suppose it wouldn't matter. Hee hee.

Also, it is very pretty in the fall where you live. Where I live (right on the ocean) we don't get much seasonal change - I kind of miss the leaves changing color and falling from the trees; raking them ... not so much. :)

That's really cool. Good luck or is it break a leg? :)

I love the picture, looks like a good place to go fishing. My MIL lives new New Harbor Me.

Opening night was Friday last. Here's an image of the last dress rehearsal before opening night -- things went terribly wrong, WHICH IS GREAT, if you can have that happen the day BEFORE opening night. We did this as a radio play -- as if we were transmitting on the radio, like in the old days.

It's always fun doing theater with kids.
This venue used their lower, not so comfortable space to do the show -- the director told me they chose it on account of its easier to heat. The truth is, the only way for me to get upstairs would have been to ride the "banister lift", which is too scary for me.
This picture below shows a guy I did another show with once, when I was able bodied. It is kind of strange but fun to be still acting after having sustained a C-5 injury.

Bottom line though -- I'm still having just as much fun acting after my accident. What I'm up there, I feel like I'm above my disability -- flying! After the initial shock of seeing me in my wheelchair, everybody just treats me up like anyone else.
