Wow today was my first time driving alone in two years. I just got my hand controls in my car two days ago an they are great. they are Menox hand controls an driving again is great. For people with high injurys i would say get these. they cost more then the ones you use with your left hand but they are worth every bit.

Yeah, I remember my first time after my injury...... I had to drive my handicapped van sitting in my wheelchair.... Back on the 25 mile journey to work.... The first trip was scary, wondering if I would have a break down along the way... No cell phones back then....

Nothing like the wind hittin' ya in the face as your all by yourself......

Damn wish I could ride my old Harley.....

Congratulations! That's fantastic!
Paraplegic with Spina Bifida. Sensory and function level is T8. T11-L5 fusion 1993. Laminectomy and decompression T10 2006. Spinal fusion T8-T12 with instrumentation Feb 2007. Moderate kyphoscoliosis. Taking 75mg Lyrica 3xday for neuropathic pain.

Congrats. man! I hope to drive soon myself. I know it was a thrill . I'm so glad for you.
Now , come pick me up and lets go cruzin. HaHa You just be safe! You know it was a car thet put most of us in a chair. Now that your driving we probably won't here from you here at the forum anymore. I hope you don't forget those of us who are prisoners in our own homes.lol

naw i cant froget about yall. Man if you lived in upper east TN then we would go cruzin. Yesterday was the first day i had to put gas in the freggin car no im happy but broke.
