How do you make a total of 40 pence, using three coins,
but one cant be a 20 pence coin,
(only uk currency, 1p,2p,5p,10p,20p,50p etc.......you must have three coins!!!)
im not going to explain it any other way,
and if you do reply, you have to explain why you have come to that answer, there is a straightforward answer, but your only right, if you explain why you came to that answer,

LOL...believe it or not, I actually had come up with that same solution, but wasn't confident enough in my answer (being a non-uk'er) to post it.
But I did learn something about UK currency in the process.

I want to try my guess.....Hope it is correct after I analyzed the story.
Man and his son they were involved in the accident.Man was not hurt only the son.
But the father on the other side, maybe from the other car was died in the car crash. The man cannot treat his son.....coz there's some reason in medical practice about treating the emmidiet family.
Am I wrong?????????????

I love this one because it really reveals our prejudice in our thinking. And I have to admit, I always have to stop and think it over each time.
So as not to spoil it for others, I've written the answer below...just highlight the area after the word "Spoiler", but only if you want to know the answer.
(Spoiler) The surgeon is the boy's mother (End Spoiler)
