Thanks to everyone, for keeping the pub rolling and making it a place to post crazy shit.

I would post more often, but they lock my room here if I don't take my meds, and they won't let me use the computer without supervision.

Hi all,

I am a new member here and thought I'd say hi, as the 'pub' seems to be the best place to do so. When I stumbled across the site I thought it's a great place to meet other 'wheelies' and exchange stories and experiences. I was hit by a virus last June and am an incomplete quad. I am still only trying to get used to my 'new life' and everything it brings with it-bowel and bladder care, skin care etc.....it's not easy, but who am I telling...most of you seem to be well adjusted.
Anyway, I hope to meet many of you here and have some good chats.

See you,

Julia

Hi tallgirl and welcome. Just how tall are you (or were? what's the appropriate way to say it. I had a boy that used to say I wasn't tall but long) cause I bet I have you beat, at least for a girl. 6'1 (feet) baby! Lol, and my name is Julie as well. Strange coincidence unless tallgirl is just a random name, then this post is just odd.
Insert witty, intelligent and deep quote here.

I better go now before I keep rambling on....see you around here..

Hi Julie its great to read messages from TALL WOMEN as iv always stood out all my life with my height and was always the tallest but its great because on here im not!! I measure exactly 6ft with BLOODY LONG PINS..36 inside leg its a joke espec in English shops...but the blokes never complain when in a skirt espec my husband as im sure you tall ladies can relate skirts on us = BELTS!! Im not a typpical essex girl though so always wear industrial strength under crackers..I can fall qiute alot on my crutches with left leg giving up whenever it chooses.. am proud to say though iv never once spilt my drink HOW GOOD IS THAT!! I can't believe I've found 2 more Spurs fans on here. Have to admit I prefer Rugby (Gloucester) and as many of you already know I am a season ticket holder there.

Shows how long it is since i've posted but I went to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Had a great time sat at Woodcote corner - watched Massa spin 5 times, Webber, Raikonnen and Button once each - drank far too much and got very wet - it was brilliant!

Anyway Rugby season starts soon so you'll all be getting the low down about Glaws.

Here's a funny pic that was emailed to me. It came with a bunch of shocker pics. Some were a little too naughty and some just downright disgusting. I thought this would be the safest.

Yeah, that's a good season for our Scotty. Much deserved after running out of gas with victory in sight last year. I'd like to rubbish Castroneves for nosing the race win but he had such an incredible race you can't take it away from him.

Today I closed on a little house I am going to make wheelchair accessable. As a closing gift I requested a quart of bourbon (Wild Turkey) from the realtor. When the last document was signed, I poured myself about 3 fingers and (much to the bemusement of the assembled suits) drank it down.

Being disabled sucks--great parking though! Wave the gimp flag high!
