hi,i was musing the other day on the things i miss about being a/b and it may come as a surprise to some of you that it is not only the ability to walk unaided but a whole host of other things which rarely get mentioned [especially at the dinner table]
i miss the ability to stand there by the toilet bowl and have a good long p**s after a few beers and a full bladder,i stick a long plastic tube down my urethra which stings every time [ i still have sensation] i miss not sitting on the toilet with a newspaper and having a relaxing d**p [the thought makes me mourn]i sit there with a tube of lube in one hand and a gloved hand bent round my back to get the correct angle so to speak trying to ease out a turtlehead i miss enjoyable impetuous sex sessions [especially orgasms]i miss a day without aches and pains when you think about it that is probably what most creatures on this planet take for granted, these are the basic enjoyments we have privately behind closed doors,it's very sad

Hey Dom,
It is very interesting the things we tend to notice when there taken away. In the beginning I used to sit in my new "legs" and ponder what I've lost. But that was then. Just to give you few things that ran through my mine. First of all, my injury is c6 complete, so my hands and fingers won't work and no use of triceps and nothing else below my shoulders operate.

The things I miss: Shaking hands, waving to people, putting on and tying my shoes. Of course the usual bowel-bladder and "normal" sex. But mostly it is the very very small things like holding a pencil or scratching an itch on the back of my neck. I actually don't miss my legs as much as I thought I would, except for walking a golf course.

But, like I said, that was then.
