Hey I just went on a cruise for the first time not to long ago. The boat was called Westerdam made by Holland-America it was nice as hell. What ports are you going to. I messed up an didn't bring gloves for pushing, make sure you bring a some cuz you do alot of pushing. Other then a few ports sucking it was fun as hell.

We are leaving from Ft. Lauderdale and going to Key West Florida then to Cozamel Mexico. Should be fun. Hands all callused up so no need 4 gloves. :H2kOther (26):

We left from Ft. Lauderdale to. I have seen the boat your going to be on it is big an nice as hell. We went to Cozamel. It was Ok. They stand outside there stores trying to get you to go into them its annoying as hell. A couple said stupid shit like look he's walking. IMO Cozamel was one of those places you go to once an never go back. We didn't leave the main strip on the beach so i dont know how long your going to be there. They have this restaurant that all has no walls right there by the beach. it is expensive as HELL. I had a margarita there an i was trashed. It was clean an i could get everywhere. O there is this store there that has a wheelchair ramp i shit you not it is about 3 feet tall an 3 1/2 feet long its funny its like strat up an down you'll see it. As for the glove thing I didn't think i would need them to an hey you might not but my hands were screaming. The cruise has carpet all inside it so its hard to push on. I never got blisters but my hands were just hurting. I would take some just in case. have fun man.

I have been on lots of cruises post SCI, I have always gone on P&O, mainly southampton-southampton so no flying involved. I have also done 2 cruises in the Caribbean, flying in and out of Barbados. The P&O ships with the exception of Artemis are all great for wheelchairs.

We did the same thing last year, only we went on Carnival. We had 16 people with us, and we had a blast
When you get to Cozemel look for the Plya Meya Beach resort $30 all you can drink and they have Beach access wheel chairs to use for free..
