Sleeping Pressure Relief - Feet Rate Topic: -----

Hey everyone - just wondering what I can do to relieve pressure on the "balls" of my feet while sleeping. I always sleep on my side, and often sleep for extended periods at night due to meds. As a result of not turning very often, I get redness on the ball of my foot, on the side near my big toe. What can I do to prevent this redness from worsening? My mattress is a plush pillowtop mattress. Thanks for the help!

Get some pillows and prop your feet up in the air, so that there not touching anything.

I place a pillow between and under my feet so the are just in the air not resting on anything.. Try to make the effort to turn as you want to releave pressure regularly. Best way to heal sores is not to get them.

Or, if the pillows don't work you could consider woolly bedboots.

A memory foam topper for your bed may relieve the problem and man are they comfy!

Or do you mean your feet are on each other?

try sleeping with your feet hanging off the end of the bed

I have a hospital air bed that circulates presure every 10 min. I use fat pillows so my feet don't touch anything. I tried foam beds,but got nothing but burning sores. You'll have to try different things. Something will work. It took me 2 1/2 years to figure out the bed thing and sores. Slow learner..
