ok well basically as the title says im here to say hi and im new to the site, my husband uses the site almost daily (give or take a few hours), and i thought that i just had to see what its all about. little bit about me.....been with my husband for 13yrs, been married for 3, he has always been 'disabled' starting out walking with a very noticably limp....slowly but gradually, becoming used to a wheelchair, after many christmas's of slicing his toes open (dont know why he had to do it at xmas though.....haha) anyway there have been times when we have had great fun, and times when there have been great sadness (to us anyway) im not complaining although it may seem taht way, i understand that there are others out there who are alot worse off, but this is our situation, and hey its good to share as they say. in a way im pleased that the husband is now using a wheelchair, because it means no more cutting of the toes, and it gives him more in dependance, however there are the downsides to it....i mean how strong you have to be to lift a scooter into the back of a discovery landrover....as you may be able to tell i try to make a joke of things, because sometimes if i dont then i can only see bad, hence the jokey attitude. I'm just getting through a lot of hurt and frustration. I guess you have to learn to laugh and joke even though it's hard to do at times.

This site has been a tremendous help to me. I look forward to the day when I can give back some advice and help to others.
