Hi all,

I would like to be able to get in and out of my own house independently, as well as being able to lock/unlock respectively. I would also like to be able to see who is at the door if I'm at home alone before I answer, without them being able to see me and maybe even have an intercom device so that if I'm upstairs, I can just let them know I'm on my way.

Do any of you guys have tetra friendly versions of these already? Can you point me in the right direction i.e. websites etc?

Thanks guys.

Rachel

P.S. Also need to know which ones are likely to be approved by insurance companies...

Hi,

Aren't you based in the UK? If so, do you mean House insurance or private health care insurance? If in the UK and wanting funding, then resources such as the East Access Grants may be of interest to you etc. Recent posts have been made regarding that so may pay to search for them.

I won't go on, in case you are another wheelieRach and want info in the USA or elsewhere. (The insurance bit confused me)..

Good luck,

K

Just to add that I know a girl in the UK who had a door opener fitted and I think that she was one of the first ( at least in her area) to do so ( She is a high para). If needs be, I can ask her the process she went through ( if you are in the UK)

HTH

Hi,

yeah am in the UK. I meant regarding house insurance, but I guess for the majority of products, people wouldn't be buying them if they weren't accepted by insurance companies. I will try East Access Grants, but if you could track down your friend aswell, that would be great.

Thanks,

Rachel

Hi i live in a block of flats and have just had the outer door replaced with a automatic door it uses either a code or key fob to open from the out side with a push button on the inside it locks automatically when it shuts behind you it is great as i struggled with a normal door that had a closing spring on it, I am not sure if this type would be ok for you but i think some bungalows near me have similar systems the company that made the door and name of the person that dealt with my door is,

Stephen Bulmer
TORMAX UK Ltd
KBC House,
42-50 Hersham Road,
Walton On Thames,
Surrey ,KT12 1RZ
Direct Line 01932 238065
Fax. No 0191 4155043

I had the local counsil pay for the hole thing so i am not sure of cost.
Hope this can help
