He hasn't tried it yet...I think he is kinda nervous, because he used to be sooo good before. I might actually beat him now!

I know that some Tetras use one of those straps (name escapes me) which pens etc can be put into - which velcros/fastens around the hand. I read somewhere of a Tetra who had one of those and placed his clubs into it..not sure if he secured them or whether he hoped they wouldn't fly out!! LOL I will have a look for where I saw it and post it if I find it...

Went to the driving range and found I could hit it about 180 (best shot, with roll) and fairly straight, so I found an organization putting on a tournament for disabled golfers.
Practiced hard, went to the course, found that the diabled were mostly amputees of one sort or another.
Being a single, I was placed on a team (scramble format) with a stroke victim and a guy with the gout. Don't get me wrong,, we had a blast, and did well (even from the reds),, I thought,, until we got in and found the two winning teams tied at 13 under.
I quess what I'm saying is,,, if your guy was as competitive as me,,, he won't be happy with what he is physically capable of today. Particularly if he was a low handicapper before.
I've no idea of what he can do, so I'll tell you what I did and you can take it from there. I have complete use of my arms, but no use of my abs. Had to swing one handed and use the other arm to pull my body out of the way of my swing. It worked ok and since my lower body didn't move, I tended to stay over the ball better (no slice or hook). I even found it easier to move the ball, just couldn't hit it as far. Putting wasn't bad, chipping wasn't hard to get used to either. I would probably still be trying if the pain hadn't gotten to me.
You can get more info from the USGA and the LPGA, both of whom have programs set up for disabled golfers. Try googling golf, disabled,,, that's how I started.
I wish you both luck and low scores.
As for me, I've decided to get some Knobby tires and turn my cart into a hunting buggy. I miss squirrel hunting, too.

I've tried it a couple times post injury (i was scratch player before) and it just wasn't the same for me. It's a whole new game.
But what I loved is going back onto the field...the smells..the sights... I'm sure your boyfriend would love that too.
