Hello,

Nice to meet you. yes there are a fair few (me included). The admin (apparelyzed is his handle, AKA Simon) is from the UK too. This is an international site, but has lots of Brits too, one or two from N/Ireland.. (some who are in other parts of the world..etc).

Just for introduction purposes, I am paralysed (chair user for around about 3 years) and have severe dislocating EDS ( means I dislocated multiple joints, multiple times daily - which although were present before, were not every day..now they are as a result of hormonal influence, an accident and the fact that it usually progresses due to the trauma of the proceeding dislocations etc etc.- has gotten worse over last few years). I also have the other stuff which goes with all of this ( pain, POTS etc). I am a Mother to 2 beautiful children ( 5 and under) and wife to some bloke, lol...I am also a qualified RN who is no longer working in a clinical setting.

Hope you stick around,

take care,

K

Hi. I'll happily pass on waves but with my sense of direction I can't promise that I'll be waving in the right direction. We went to the tip the other day (The fun days out we have!) and i was convinced i was looking at Ireland, my husband said it was the sticky out part of scotland i wouldnt believe him till he got the map out. Turned out he was right. Hannah

Hi,
I'm 21 and was in oswestry hospital. Absolutely fantastic place to be and they will answer absolutely any questions yu have without the bull. They tell it like it is, and even though it may be a bit unwanted at times, at least you know where you stand. I'm from telford by the way.
I wish you and your son all the best

Dennis65,

I keep seeing that you write that you can 'drive', and I am wondering. Do you mean you drive without handcontrols/adaptions?

Just wondeing, I like a lot of people drive, but use h/controls... :censored:

Oh and I am not Simon, but I have a lot of pain issues too, unfortunately, I wish you all the best in finding a 'cure' for that...pls share it with me when you do! :mfrlol:

Sounds like you are doing fabulously, good luck on your continued recovery!

Take care,

K
