I'm glad someone put this Post up. Hi all you UK guys. I'm from Nottinghamshire but really closer to Lincoln. My profile says it all, C4/5 incomplete and been injured 50 years, but pleased don't be so shocked, I'm sure there's longer sci than me.

I enjoy the sense of humour some of you guys have so I log on everyday for a smile. I'm just a newbie really who's replied to a few posts, so maybe I should post some questions as I don't know everything.

hey im from northern ireland used to live in carrickfergus but im back there all the time as thats where my family live. i live in bradford and am a student loughborough (a quiet little drinking university with a sporting problem) i came of a motorbike on my way to college in belfast in 2001 and so life changes.

BTW if your wondering what to do on your "anniversary" my advice is to mark in some way. i tend to go out with some friends for a couple of beverages and just a) remember the day my life changed cuz essential a new part of you was created at the same time :D and grieve a little not a lot for that person that has gone. but mostly now im past the 5 year stage i go out get rat arsed and celebrate that im not dead. so that i can continue to torture everyone for a little bit longer hehehehehe

Hi

36yrs old, been in chair for 11 yrs.

I'm living in London, have moved from New Zealand in the last year.

Perhaps someone can help me. I had to leave my standing frame behind in NZ and I'm trying to find a hospital or sports centre in London that would have a standing frame I can use for an hour/month (helps keep my leg spasms down).
Does anyone know where I could find one or where to start looking.

Cheers

I live in Shipley, near Bradford West Yorkshire. I am very new to this and am really struggling, I would really really really like to get in touch with some of you guys and maybe meet up. I don't have any friends and it is a hard time with my husband at the moment.

Please yell if you would be able to get in touch

:dancegirl:

Thank you

I'm new too!

I live in Bournemouth - originally from North Yorkshire (Just outside Middlesbrough).

Been down south for 16 years and been injured for 13 1/2 years!

I'm glad that I found this board as its fantastic compared to the crap SIA boards, which I used to use - with its heavily moderated posts which take about 2 days to appear.

hi everyone, new to forum
i'm from london too.
27 now, diving accident, was in stoke mandeville - mixed views...
quick plug for the O2 arena - went to my second concert there on saturday - the eagles, springsteen in december - and i've found it great. excellent venue, w/c facilities, acoustics etc. well worth a visit. standard two tickets for price of one.

hi Jt80 my brother has just left stoke after being in there for 18 months following a car accident although he tells people crazy stories about how he ended up in a chair depending on his mood. I to have mixed views on stoke i am just hoping that he earns to adjust to life outside main worry is that he becomes a hermit as he really is struggling to accept his injury.
