Hi Skrib,
I think there should be a crown for both para and tetra. By the way I think you have me mixed up with someone else as I'm not in bed and haven't been since my accident thank God.
Take care and live for today.
Jimbo.

Kaci is gonna need time to adjust and things will get better over time.
Hope keep coming on here it's a big family who if they can will offer up as much help as possible.
I'm sure curiosity will get the better of Kaci over time.

just joined this site,
well i got got my Wheelchar in 1989,depending on which doctor was talking, i am between T11 and T13,
lol i am a rare type of Paraplegic,i just just woke up one morning dead from the belly button down to the tip of my toes,
according to my doctors it seems that a weak blood vessel burst and bled inside the spinal canel which caused a pinch to my spinal cord,
the bleed was removed by surgery and i got some feeling back, but i cannot walk unaided as i have no balence,in hospital for 6 months
i found very depressing,
oh well bb and take care all, ive got a casserole on the coker and it needs taking off the stove(lol yes a man that can cook)

Hi Newte,
When I was in hospital there was a lady there who had exactly the same sort of experience as yourself, went to bed and the clot formed and she was paralysed from the waste down. I think a lot of people will be surprised that can happen to a person. Hope you recover more.
I fell off a bike in 1996 which broke my T7 ( Frankel fracture I think they call it), 7 ribs, collar bone etc and had to be recovered by the London HEMS air ambulance to Royal London hospital. I then moved to Stanmore where I was unfortunate in getting infected metalwork which meant two collasped lungs and a heart attack, so they had to remove it. Then my back started bending over so I could not breath so they put me in a plaster jacket for 3 months ( never again ! ) . I then got MRSA and had to be confined to a side room. My nickname was Mr Lucky.
I was lucky because I had separated from my wife and she took me back ( bless her ) and now I have a 6 year old daughter rather than a motorbike. I must be getting middle-aged !
Regards
Andy

Hi Lol,
I was injured near Ipswich, at RAF Wattisham; it was way back in the 1950's. I spent 3 months in Ipswich Hospital; they hadn't a clue then about SCI so I was worse off. I eventually got to Stoke, but it was the ols Stoke; all wooden wards.
Do you still live in Suffolk?

I'm wandering around the site getting horribly lost (curse you low attention span)so apologies if I have already posted here (advantage of having a goldfish like memory)
I'm on the Leicestershire / Northamptonshire border.
You must get bored swimming round that bowl all day Clara; but after once round the bowl you'll have forgotten where you were...
I hope you enjoy the friendly banter on the site..
