Hi,
As you know I have upper body/hand issues ( Connective tissue disorder and related dislocations/raynauds/nerve & tendon damage. I am also on the look out for SMALLER gloves and I too use my palms..I know there have been threads before so I will try and dig a few up... Anyway, I am on the look out too. I do think that smaller versions of this: Bromakin Push Cuffs would be great starting point...They only do them in Med and large and I have long (Marfanoid) fingers but very slim hands so extra small are too wide in other brands.
I have seen the pattern which Apparelyzed/Simon has here on the site: http://www.apparelyz...gic_gloves.html they would be great as you can down/up size the pattern as required, only thing is I would struggle with - Ok wouldn't be able to do if I am honest, the sewing part buy hand (hand issue, so you would probably too) ...
These are a great find: http://palmproducts....palmpushers.htm but are mail order only. They are recommended by the Spinal Injuries association though...and these too can be trimmed and tightened and as they are made to measure may be more ideal..I am looking into getting some..Bit more pricy though to be honest....
I also have the rubberized covers which can be added to push rims. I have been told by people that they make my chair look even cooler too, lol ( not sure if they are humouring the poor crip!) They do help with grip but some people don;t get on with them. The good thing is that they can be removed pretty easily (although my dislocation issues etc mean I have to get someone else to do it usually), mine generally stay on in the winter then I take them off ...Check them out: HERE!! By the way, there are cuffs listed on that site too ( they are from Globalleather originally though) and I had my local mobility shop order them in. Not only did the shop visit nearly kill me due to the suicidal "ramp" lol, but the "cuffs" would have fit a huge hand or two in them...no ability to tighten them and the huge "D" rings were on a long piece of webbing which would get caught, so are more of an hinderance then a help..IMO... Just wanted to mention it, in case you see them...
Hope this helps, and PLEASE, if you find some that are of use, before I do will you please let me know? I will of course do the same...
Take care,
K

Ive been looking at cuffs but would prefer a d ring as i find velcro quite hard to pull over tihtly enough. Ive actually ordered some cuffs to try but I think they will be too big to b honest. Does anyone know if you can get childs cuffs?

Hello,
As I said above ( in a longwinded way), if the cuffs are the ones the same as these: found here and elsewhere then they are very very big and although I would be much better with the "D" ring closure ends...they are on a very long piece of webbed tie which can only be secured at one point...so would get in your wheels... I suppose they could be altered....but would have to get someone to sort them out...
Of course if they aren't like those, please ignore...LOL

Oh and if you check out HERE newlife Disabled children equipment UK there is one example and may be others, I haven't had chance to look yet...
