Hi everyone.
My name is Alice. Mitch ,my boyfriend, was in a car accident in August 2007 and in now a T-6 complete para. We just found your site. It is fantastic, there are heaps of great suggestions that none of us hear in the rehab center. It has been a tough 8 months but things are gradually getting better for us. Thank you to who every suggested "Murder Ball" it was fantastic. Mitch played alot of rugby at school so it was right up his alley. If you have any suggestion of other things that really helped you in the recovery process i would be really greatful to hear them. His birthday is coming up on April 2nd, does anyone have any suggestions for a gift idea??
Thank you
Alice
P.S. Are there any Ausies out there? as this site seems to be predomitanly US.

Hi Alice
I bet Mitch will appreciate a lot of attention from you on his birthday.
Also when you've got to know all the Aussies on the forum, there's a heap of Kiwis, too. It's an international scene.

Welcome to the forum. I was injured in August '07 as well, so I know what you mean about it being a tough time. This place has been a tremendous help though.
As for birthday gifts, the one thing that I get the most use out of is my iPod. It really helps on those nights when you can't sleep 'cause of the pain, or when you start getting depressed.
An Apparelyzed T-shirt is always a welcomed gift, too (hey Si-man, do I get a commission on this?).

'Cause that's how I roll!
