As you may be able to tell (never I here you say!), I'm happy it's Friday!

Even though I don't work 9-5 any more, I still love Fridays. Friday night is the night to relax, open a bottle (of whatever you're into), and chill out. :drunk:

Right now, I have a bottle opened, Pete Tong on Radio 1, and the sun streaming through the window (not internet streaming, no, a real window!).

Takes me back to the good times :muahaha:

So...

...After a hard week sitting on your ass, what do you enjoy on a Friday night (apart from the obvious fella's).

Oh yeah, just finnished a week of salads, as I thought it'd be a good idea to get a cholesterol check, and a glucose check today, as it's been a while since a nurse drained some blood. :doctor:

Plus, I was joking with my wife that I'd get my head shaved, however, when I got into the barbers, I went for it! :helpme:

Man, it's chilly! :cold:

Simon

p.s. Thank Crunchie It's Friday!, was a uk t.v Ad!

Didn't know what "Crunchies" were,,,, must be a "Brit" thing.

Once you give up the day job,, they are all Friday nights.

Friday night I flop into my big armchair, knock the top off a bottle of ale, let out a long breath and look around for who's bringing me my dinner. That's when I realise I live on my own and have to get it myself. Old habits die slowly but they do die.

Downunder here in New Zealand we have a Crunchie advert -- the famous Crunchie Train Robbery -- which has been running most of my life and still is popular. Interestingly it was made by a group of mad young people mostly from what was regarded as a dirty hippie group called Blerta...many of who today hold influential jobs in tv and entertainment today.

looks like a Kitkat bar from the US. Tomorrow will be my first Sat off in awhile, so haven't had much of a Friday. I would love to set back and relax with a glass drink and something poured over ice and relax, but I start my wheelchair tennis career(well don't know about career but it will be the first practice I've ever gone to and only 2nd time I've been in a tennis chair) tomorrow morning and it wouldn't do me good to show up the first Sat morning feeling even a little bit off.

It is nice to not have to worry about getting up and ready for work though.

Simon, I'm a bit backwards from most people. I love Fridays because I can start bigger projects and have time to clean up my bigger messes.

Just after work I got my two boys to help me take the rear brake rotors off my car. Tomorrow we get them turned or order new ones. If all goes according to plan, we put it back together Saturday and start something else. I'm pretty excited, this is my first real auto repair I've done since my injury.

Enjoy your Crunchies! I think I'll get a Tim Hortons donut in the morning to start the day off right.
Boat racing accident July 2006. Still hoping for some return!

Friday nights are not my favorite. It is Saturday that is special. My husband and I finally get a break from the grandchildren and have time to ourselves. We usually have a leisurely dinner and listen to golden oldies and reminisce with a bottle of wine. A week before my injury we actually danced. I’m soooo glad we had that time together.

Never had a Crunchie. I like the UK Nutrition Information on Energy

Mmm - end of the working week - Friday night takeaway, I prefer Chinese, my husband prefers Indian. This week we compromised - Chinese last night (Friday), he's just gone out for Indian tonight! Oh and don't forget the bottle of Merlot or 2 !

Cheers. Enjoy your Saturday night too.
