I'm new here and wanted to know if anyone has gone to Ireland and what did you eat there. I'm a veggie/non-dairy and the food in Ireland looks like it may give me a hard time.
if anyone can send me info, I'd really appreciate.

Above shows popular veggie places to eat in Dublin..the first has been open for donkey's years + wonderful food always there..,not sure if its open in the evening.
I'm vegetarian + have no problem eating in Dublin...lots of italian + Indian restaurants too.
If you want a treat + have a car Brooklodge an hour outside Dublin has an organic restaurant..book ahead.

Have fun!

Hi there

Not sure what part of Ireland you're considering going to but I'm in the North. I don't think I've come across a restaurant that didn't offer at least one and usually more vegetarian options. There are lots of veggies/non-dairy people who live here too. My ex-husband is a chef and has been asked to cater for vegans before so if there's nothing on the menu you like, just ask. You'll find most places are amenable to helping out if they can.

You'll find a vegan and vegetarian guide here:

http://vegans.fromma..._to_ireland.pdf

and info from the main tourist site here:

Enjoy your stay! :badmood:

When my husband and I were married, we got a beautifully wrapped present from friends in County Kerry. It was a lovely bound book with the title: "Best Recipes of Ireland."

The book was blank!
