Thanks for that link, Illinois Boy. This is an issue very near to my heart. My step-grandson is autistic, but I've been concerned about this even before he was born. My own son is healthy, thank God!, but any parent who has ever agonized over their children receiving their vaccines knows that this issue affects us all.
I was absolutely shocked to learn that 1 out of every 150 children born today will develop some degree of autism. This is a world-wide epidemic, more prevalent than AIDS.
On June 4, 2008, Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carey are organizing a March on Washington to raise awareness for the issues surrounding autism...namely to request that vaccines be rescheduled...given later and in smaller doses.
I hope that some of you here will plan on attending if you can. With gas prices what they are, I know we all have to think twice before jumping in our cars and going where we want. But with a little planning and shared rides, I'm hoping that some of us will manage to go.
I'm from S. Indiana...if anyone local to me would like to come along, just message me.
