Both my husband and I have read this and Coach's other offering, "The Healing". I really recomment that you all read this, but especially the men. No one can tell a story like someone who has lived it, and Coach has hit the nail on the head. Do yourselves a favor and read these stories.
I would love to discuss them with anyone who reads them. Let me know what you think.

Stacia,

Though I check in here weekly, today was the first time I saw your post! As you and others who've read the Introduction to LOVE NOTE know, I had mixed feelings about posting it here, feared some readers might try cocaine to enhance their suddenly challenged and diminished--not ruined, not negligible, but, yes, more or less diminished--sex lives. I feared that by posting on a board designed to be used by SCIs and those close to them, I risked exploiting their needs for the emotional gratification I was seeking of being read. I posted anyway, but I knew I couldn't assuredly separate my hope the book(s) were worth reading from my selfishness.

Your post, though, and your response in personal messages, allows me to imagine that not-posting would have been in its way as selfish as posting. I wrote both books as lit, aimed at a literary audience, but that larger community (mm, of all readers) very definitely includes the SCI community, and that you and your husband (a C-2!) found LOVE NOTE pertinent, even useful, in your lives, makes me feel, in a word, good. Thanks for posting.
