Pressure On Airplane?

Since I broke my back, I have been on a plane once. The air pressure in the plane while taking off and landing was extremely painful on my back. The pain was just too much. Does this happen with anybody else? If so, how do you relieve the pressure?
Any ideas or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated and helpful. Thank you.

hi nickie just a thought why not try 1 of them inflatable neck pillows and ask 1 of the flight girls on your plane for a pillow for your back , i suffer with a bit of pain when flying and this seems to ease it a little worth a try
best of luck roo

Didn't like it then, and DAMN sure don't like it now...
I always wonder what pissed off mechanic left a few bolts off the plane....
My advice, get the Alcohol cart next to your chair..... And get Drunk....

I've had 4 flights over the past 2 weeks and have to say that all the airport staff were very helpful...no probs at all.
I was nervous at first but now I love getting away to different places. I felt really dizzy etc on the first flight but i think it was just nerves.....now I'm relaxed + have no probs
Go for it...each trip will get easier

Nickie,
My husband had terrible time flying in the past. We believe his discomfort was due to the air pressure going down as the airplane went higher and higher. Talk to your Dr about getting some meds to help bolster your blood pressure. My husband takes Viagra/Cialis to help him. Not only does it help him, he/I get an extra benefit.
Not that you can use these meds, maybe there is some other meds that can help.
